"I also liked in New York [...] a work from Miró's youth, which was called La Ferme. It was a superb painting. And I believe that this painting was a talisman for me, a prophetic work for my own future. There was the vision of this farm and afterwards, I found myself on the farm. The mill of Hérouval was a little like Miró's farm, with pigeons on the roof, doves, etc. There was the moon, the small vegetable garden, farm tools there was a person who emptied something in the painting. At the MoMA in New York, in 1962, one of the highlights was seeing this painting by Miró." (Dado, interview with Ch. Derouet, 1988)
